WHO WE ARE

FOUNDING STATEMENT:
The desire to be able to make a positive contribution to society and impoverished communities resulted in Construction Project Solutions being founded by husband and wife team, Andre and Lynseh van der Walt in 2014, based in Cape Town. The business is extremely focused on development and skills training, the aim is to develop people more especially women and youth to enable them to become change makers in the lives of their families and their communities and also to serve the client base with outstanding quality workmanship and the highest code of ethics at all time.

SHAREHOLDING:
We are a proudly 100% Black owned, 50% black female ownership
and Level 2 BBBEE company.

COMPANY MANAGEMENT 
The business is owner managed on a daily basis by Andre Van Der Walt who has extensive hands on experience and knowledge in the construction and routine road maintenance field which was harvested over a period of more than twenty (20) years .
The administration is handled by Lynseh Van Der Walt who has +/- 10 years’ experience in construction administration and is also currently in the process of completing her Honours degree in Industrial Psychology. Our other team members are all experienced construction staff, each with his or her individual skill set which makes a huge contribution to both the long- and short-term goals of this organisation and ensuring outstanding service delivery at all times.

Staying focused on our vision, the development of people philosophy of CONSTRUCTION PROJECT SOLUTIONS has the following objectives:

  • To be innovative and dynamic in a demanding though sophisticated construction environment
  • To deliver excellent quality and service at all times to the industry
  • To have a strong focus and influence regarding the training, development and empowering of both women and youth  both in and into the construction industry

As an employer we pride ourselves in being genuinely representative in terms of ownership and are committed to grow the business by the implementation of Black Economic Empowerment principles and by making affirmative action appointments which will especially benefit women and youth employees.

We offer on the job training for our entire staff thus improving promotion prospects in all areas of our core business more especially in the quality assurance and client service department.

GOALS ACHIEVED

  • We have employed over 300 people from communities where we have worked, thus improving the quality of life for themselves and their families
  • We have been and still are involved with a food parcel scheme, once a month we make up food parcels and distribute it to various homeless people in poor communities as well as people who scratch in dirt bins for food
  • We have joined up with community groups whereby we donate food, money, and clothes to feed and clothe children and adults that are in need thereof
  • We have housed 6 displaced families by purchasing prefabricated structures that they can erect to have a home of their own and a warm place to live
  • We have come a step closer to where it is that we want to be in fulfilling our social and religious goals.
